A Creative Journey
Located in the heart of Chelsea on the iconic Kings rd, our brand is a celebration of the areas colourful past and its ever evolving present. From its rich history as a playground for some of fashions revolutionaries in the 1960s to its modern day eclectic spirit, this neighbourhood's long been a source of inspiration. It's here, amidst the legacy of Mary Quant boutique, Granny Takes a Trip, and the rebellious influence of Vivienne Westwood, that I decided to embark on a new chapter.
With years of experience as Creative Director in both national and international fashion, I wanted to create something personal to me. Having lived on the Kings rd for many years its vibrant history fascinates and inspires me. The 1960s being an era profoundly shaped by the ideas of the hippie movement, which celebrated peace, love, and a connection to nature. Flower power motifs appeared on clothing, posters, and storefronts, reflecting a yearning for positivity and unity. Music, too, played a crucial role. The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, both tied to london's burgeoning cultural scene, echoed the spirit of transformation and optimism.
As the shadow of World War II and the Vietnam war begun to lift, a new sense of optimism filled the air. The Kings rd became synonymous with this fresh outlook on life. They weren't just dressing up - they were expressing hope for a brighter future through vibrant and daring styles.
